A small wedding shouldn’t mean being squeezed into a corner of a venue built for 150. At Roseville, an intimate wedding gets the gardens, the marquee and our full attention — priced to the size of your day.

Second weddings, later first weddings, or couples who simply don’t want the production: this is where the garden does the work, and your day stays yours.

Seasons

Our wedding season runs September to March

At 1,340 metres the seasons are clear and distinct — and each gives a different wedding.

  • Spring · Sep–Nov

    Daffodils, tulips and irises, then pear and cherry blossom through the orchard. The garden at its most romantic, and Garden Festival season.

  • Summer · Dec–Feb

    Warm days without the humidity — even at 36° it doesn’t feel it under the old trees. Long light, cool evenings and extraordinary sunsets.

  • Autumn · Mar

    Gold through the robinias and the orchard. Late autumn dates may open up — ask us.

June to August we rest: snow, frosts to minus four and a sleeping garden. It’s a beautiful time to visit, just not to marry outdoors.

Is Roseville a good venue for a small wedding of 30 guests?

Yes. Intimate weddings of 20 to 50 guests are exactly what we’re set up for this season, with a ceremony in the garden and a long table or a single-pole marquee for the reception.

Is there a minimum spend or minimum guest number?

For over 30 guests, venue hire starts from $5,000, including the venue and bathroom facilities. Smaller weddings are quoted to your exact requirements.

Can we have a wedding for 50 guests?

Yes. Fifty guests sits comfortably in the marquee’s smaller setting, with room for a dance floor.

How far ahead should we book an intimate wedding?

Months rather than years. Intimate weddings can be booked now — tell us your date and we’ll let you know if it’s free.
