Garden weddings at Roseville
Garden Wedding Venue in Northern NSW

The gardens
Fifteen years of garden in every photograph
Nobody builds a garden like this in five years. Roseville’s three acres of formal garden were uncovered and replanted over fifteen years — over 250 peony, David Austin and other roses, flowering cherries and pears, thousands of daffodils and irises, then a fountain, a sunken garden, the arch garden, a tall conifer garden, stone walls and water troughs, and a 154-tree orchard of apricots, apples, nectarines and cherries.
It means photographs that don’t look like everyone else’s. Not a couple in a grassy paddock — a couple in a garden with age, character and somewhere lovely to wander at golden hour.
The spaces
Three settings, one garden

The marquee
A Hamptons pole tent marquee, 21.2m × 9.5m, with peaked tops and a grass floor — nothing like a standard white box. It breaks down into a smaller, more intimate setting or opens out for the full celebration.
Long tables under the robinias
A long-table feast beneath the row of mop-top robinias, for around fifty guests. Dappled shade by day, long golden light into the evening.
Styling conceptCocktails among the barrels
Wine barrels and white umbrellas for canapés and drinks — perfect between ceremony and reception while the photographer steals you away.

Planning help
The easy path: our preferred suppliers
We’ve gathered the caterers, florists, photographers, celebrants, hair and makeup artists and accommodation we’d recommend to our own family. Prefer someone to handle all of it? Several vendors on the list offer full or partial wedding planning.
If it rains
A real wet-weather plan
The marquee is fully covered and sized for your whole party, so the celebration carries on whatever the sky does. Your ceremony can move beneath it at short notice. Depending on the size of your event, we’ll talk it through in more detail when you enquire or visit.
Getting here
Where your guests stay
Guyra has the Royal Hotel and the Guyra Hotel (both with recently renovated rooms), the Shiralee Motel and the Bowling Club cabins, and guests can camp on site. Armidale is thirty minutes away. The main house has a bridal preparation space, and its four to five bedrooms can host the bridal party on request.
Accommodation & getting hereSeasons
Our wedding season runs September to March
Spring · Sep–Nov
Daffodils, tulips and irises, then pear and cherry blossom through the orchard. The garden at its most romantic, and Garden Festival season.
Summer · Dec–Feb
Warm days without the humidity — even at 36° it doesn’t feel it under the old trees. Long light, cool evenings and extraordinary sunsets.
Autumn · Mar
Gold through the robinias and the orchard. Late autumn dates may open up — ask us.
June to August we rest: snow, frosts to minus four and a sleeping garden. It’s a beautiful time to visit, just not to marry outdoors.

Yes — we’d love to show you around on a site visit. If you can’t make the trip, we can walk you through the garden on a FaceTime call instead.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes. Roseville is BYO. Drinks are served by your caterer’s RSA-certified staff, or by a licensed caterer who supplies them.

September to March. Spring brings bulbs and blossom, summer is warm without humidity, and early autumn brings colour through the robinias and orchard. We close from June to August.
How far is Roseville from Brisbane?
Around five hours’ drive, via the New England Highway — close enough for a weekend away that feels like a proper escape. Or fly: Armidale Regional Airport has flights from Sydney and Brisbane and is about thirty minutes from the gates.
Do you host 21sts or bucks and hens nights?
No. Roseville is a family home and a quiet garden, so we don’t host 21sts, bucks or hens nights, or anything rowdy.
